The Scottish Banner therefore connects a global audience of Scots through various platforms. It encourages readers to engage via social media and participate in discussions about Scottish culture and events. For those interested in Scottish heritage and community news, The Scottish Banner is a valuable resource.

It is used and supported by many clans who originate from the Scottish Highlands, Lowlands and Borders and we thought that we would highlight some of the border clans and families that utilise this paper as a medium to advertise their presence, and very successfully may we add.

The societal structure of border families, although similar in function and structure to Highland clans, remain separate and distinct to thier regions.

We have therefore chosen only those few that are our neighbours in Annandale, mentioned in the 1587 Act of Unruly clans from the West March and all, who like us, have a share in the rich tapestry of the Scottish Border Reiver tradition.
