CLAN CARRUTHERS: Laurie Carruthers Caron, a Clan Genealogist’s story.

GC BADGE SILVERv2-1

In Canada, our Society is represented by the regional branch Clan Carruthers Society-Canada, a registered ‘not for profit organisation’. This is led by our Canadian Clan Commissioner Andrew J Carruthers.

As an integral part of his board, we are very lucky to have with us one of Canada’s top genealogists. This of course is none other than Laurie Carruthers Caron, who is well known to many in our family who have a serious interest in its genealogy and history.

Since just after its inception, Laurie has been a great supporter of our Society and its efforts and is currently working hard in the background as a member of the Canadian Board, for its success.

Today we have great pleasure in following her family’s genealogical path from present day Canada, back in time to the Carruthers homelands in Dumfriesshire, South West Scotland.

The following has been sent to us for publication by and with the permission of Laurie and her family and any information pertaining to them remains copyrighted to them.

  1. Thoroughly enjoyed Laurie’s journey. Sometime, back in the past, there are many more undiscovered connections.
