
Our Society, headed by our Convenor, Dr George Carruthers and Honorary President and Chief, Simon Carruthers of Holmains, are represented and associated through and with other Scottish peak organisations nationally and internationally.
These include our membership of:
- the Scottish Australian Heritage Council (SAHC),
- the Council of Scottish Clans and Associations (COSCA) in the US,
- the Clans And Scottish Societies Of Canada (CASSOC)
- and the Royal Celtic Society (RCS) in Scotland.
Membership of these are augmented by our Chief’s seat on the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs in Scotland, as all are involved with government agencies both at home and abroad.
Represented in Australasia

We are represented in Australia and Oceania by our Clan Commissioner Gary John Carruthers, FSA Scot. Gary is a proud armiger of our clan, whose arms arte portrayed above. He was personally commissioned by our chief, Carruthers of Holmains to represent Australia and Oceania. Gary is also one of our three senior Clan Genealogists, whose expertise and portfolio speaks for itself.

He is more than ably assisted by his Assistant Commissioner, Craig Carrothers-Monument, who regularly competes in the Highland Games on our behalf in both the caber and the hammer.
He is also fully supported by our Regional Clan Secretary, Dr Liz Monument FSA Scot. Liz has a PhD from Lancaster University, is a novelist and writing coach and studied music at the University of Huddersfield
