Clan Carruthers: CCSI Executive Secretary, becomes a Director of CASSOC

Mr Graham Carruthers elected as Board Member of CASSOC

We are pleased to announce that one of our Canadian stalwarts, Mr Graham Carruthers, Executive Secretary of Clan Carruthers Society International, has been elected to the Board of the Clans and Scottish Societies of Canada (CASSOC). Graham, has worked tirelessley for Carruthers in his home Country,  and he deserves our congratulations on his appointment. Along with Zelda M. Carruthers, they have been our small acorns which is now coming into fruit, all this after the confirmation of our Clan Chief by the Lord Lyon.

CASSOC 

The Clans and Scottish Societies of Canada has been around since 1975. They are the hub of Scottish cultural events in Canada, representing nearly 40 clans in membership. This year they welcomed back Clan MacLellan of America and three new clan societies into thier ranks. Family of Bruce International, Clan Forbes Society and Clan MacEwen.

Their newsletter; An Drochaid, which is published quarterly and provides information on gatherings, meetings, community and clan events related to Scottish Culture and the Scots in Canada, For the Scottish diaspora in Canada, this is the place to be.
